AtoB is modernizing the payments infrastructure for companies with vehicles and fleets of vehicles – where capital movement occurs quickly and transparently. Their flagship product is the AtoB Fuel Card, a fuel card accepted anywhere Visa is accepted, equipped with the strongest discount network in the nation, built for fleets of all shapes and sizes.
AtoB Challenge
AtoB provides their customers with solutions for transaction validation, fraud-detection, IFTA automation, and more. To build this product, AtoB requires access to granular data for thousands of vehicles in their current customer base. ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) onboard vehicles collect data like real-time vehicle location, fuel levels, mileage, speed, and so much more… but it is a challenge to navigate the technical jungle for the hundreds of devices on the market.
Our initial integration with Samsara and GeoTab took months, and we expect adding new ELD providers will at least take 4 weeks for an experienced developer... Axle solves this problem. We just need to integrate with Axle once, and new customers onboarding takes no time now.

Axle Solution/Impact
Axle is a universal API that handles the complexities associated with each telematics device. By working with Axle, AtoB was able to seamlessly double their telematics-connected customer base (from 100 to 200+ customers) and now have 1500+ vehicles onboarded. The sales process is faster and the addressable customer base has expanded with the suite of ELD integrations Axle provides. Developer time dedicated to setting-up, maintaining, error-handling, etc. each device integration was removed from AtoB’s plate. Instead of spending ~1 month per additional integration, AtoB now has access to all their customer’s vehicle data seamlessly. Axle has helped AtoB’s development team focus on building core products, instead of integrations, expanding their addressable customer base and closing sales!

Integrating live location data into their port congestion models along with existing inputs, paints a more accurate picture of port activity.

Axle Solution
Outgo underwrites truckers' loads and offers early payments to eliminate the need for a 30-day wait. To do this, they rely on Axle's location data for their underwriting process. This data is crucial in ensuring that the carrier in question actually completed the load. Equipped with this data, Outgo can effectively detect and investigate any discrepancies or incidents. The integration process between Outgo and Axle was seamless and they’ve found a nearly 100% success rate in matching deliveries with real-time data.
